2008 Training Manager Survey

In a recent survey conducted by Metri-Mark Inc. www.metri-mark.com, 784 training managers responded to 35 questions regarding all aspects of organizational training, The following data represent a brief look at some of the interesting results:

• 47.4% expect a moderate decline in training budgets due to the economy
  
• 55.9% use the company web site for recruiting staff & 41.7% use Monster
  
• 70.6% of respondents said that their e-learning practices have changed the most in the past 2 years
  
• 65.6% strongly agree that e-learning is more effective when combined with other forms of learning
  
• 43.2% strongly agree that e-learning is not a substitute for face-to-face classroom learning
  
• 75.7% of respondents said they will need management/leadership skills training in order to meet their business objectives in the next 2 years, 62.7% said they will need communication/interpersonal skills training, and 53.7% said they will need business skills/acumen in order to meet their business objectives in the next 2 years.
