CultureCheck™ Assessment:
CultureCheck is a process through which the overall “health” of the organization is established.  Through both quantitative and qualitative methods of questioning based on the 9 levels of the Rising Sun Model, the fundamental challenges and strengths facing the organization will be assessed.

Executive Coaching Program:
It is not uncommon to find leaders who are experts in their content areas, but lacking in their understanding of both people and teams. Rising Sun’s Executive Coaching Program provides a mentoring and advisory platform to help leaders advance their leadership skills, as well as improve their management/supervision of key personnel.

Executive Coaching involves weekly one hour conversations between an individual leader and a Rising Sun senior consultant (either face-to-face or over the phone).  These conversations focus on the leader’s own professional development.  The initial program is three months or 12 weeks (extended programs are available).  The Rising Sun Executive Coaching program helps business leaders or supervisors improve their skills and performance in the following areas:

  • Vision and Mission
  • Strategic Thinking
  • Goal Setting
  • Coaching and Supervising Others
  • Program Evaluation
  • Personal Job Satisfaction and Engagement

SuperVision™
Traditionally, when business leaders talk about “supervision,” they are usually referring to the managerial or leadership function of overseeing the productivity and progress of employees – typically those employees who report directly to the supervisor.  However, stemming from our experiences in providing both training and supervision to direct care providers, Rising Sun’s proprietary SuperVision™ Program takes a very different perspective – defining supervision more from a coaching or mentoring perspective combined with a managerial perspective.

All too often, employees are promoted to the role of supervisor because of their strong technical expertise.  However, an effective supervisory relationship requires that the supervisor not only be a content expert, but that they also accept the enormous responsibility of mentorship.
SuperVision™ is a developmental process designed to enhance an individual’s skills and capacity to be an effective supervisor.  Throughout the program, developing supervisors receive coaching and supervision themselves in many of the following areas:

  • Principles of servant leadership
  • The 10 keys to effective supervision
  • Fundamentals of effective coaching and mentoring
  • Foundations of transition/change management
  • Building an engaged workforce

  • Principles of Proactive and Corrective Teaching

LeadershipSystems™ Program:
Rising Sun Consultants’ proprietary LeadershipSystems program provides our clients with the knowledge and skills required to be effective organizational leaders.  Divided into three programs, LeadershipSystems targets three specific knowledge/skill sets based on the background and responsibilities of the audience.  These programs can be applied individually or as a complete series.  Each program consists of 3 individual full-day sessions with up to 20 participants.  These programs are also available as Off-Site Retreats.

  • LeadershipSystems™ I focuses on management skills for those responsible for handling activities, resources, and processes within their organization.  This program teaches participants foundational knowledge and skills such as: Servant Leadership, Understanding Others, Collaboration, Positive Inquiry, Effective Communication, and Motivating Others for Success.
     
  • LeadershipSystems™ II focuses on supervisory skills for those who have the responsibility of overseeing employees within their organization.  This level teaches crucial interpersonal and intrapersonal knowledge and skills such as: Culture Building, AAPIE (Assessment, Analysis, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate), Supervision, Developing Others, Team Building, Decision Making, and Effective Reward Systems.
     
  • LeadershipSystems™ III focuses on administrative/executive skills for those who have accountability over an entire department/division/organization.  This level teaches essential knowledge and skills such as: Strategic Thinking, Strategic Planning, Budget Development, Coaching & Mentoring, Change & Transition Management, and Accountability Systems.
